私たちの先祖は、代々この津金地区の御所とよばれる八ヶ岳の南山麓の地で農業を営んできました。 現在の当主である津金高弘の代になり、1980年、高弘は妻の豊子に促され、りんご作りを地域の仲間とともに始めました。この地は昼夜の寒暖の差が大きく、土壌もリンゴ栽培に適していたことから、糖度の高い津金りんごは山梨県の名産品の一つとなりました。 ​しかしながら、近年、津金りんごは作り手の高齢化が進み、生産量が大きく減少し、「幻のりんご」とまで言われるようになりました。 ​そんな中、私たちのりんご園はかつての半分以下の規模になったものの、今年97歳の高弘が指揮を執り、よりおいしい津金りんごを作るために日々努力しています。 Our ancestors have long cultivated the land located at the southern base of the Yatsugatake Mountains, known as gosho(御所) in the Tsugane district. The current owner, encouraged by his wife Toyoko, started harvesting apple from 1980 with fellow farmers. With the help of huge temperature gap between daytime and nighttime, the area's soil is appropriate for growing highly sweetened apple, which became one of the well-known specialties of Yamanashi. Sadly, with the aging popularity of apple farmers, the number of apples that can be produced, has now heavily decreased, in which now people see the apple as very ‘rare’. In this difficult circumstance however, in which the production volume has decreased into half the number, with the direction of Takahiro (the current owner), 97years old, we aim to provide the most delicious apple every day.
